Are you sure your telco bills are accurate?

How we help check your telecommunications services

This article explains how we check your telecommunications services to ensure you are only paying for what you need, and make recommendations for new or service variations, which will save you money.

It is a low cost (see below), high benefit service. As a small business ourselves, paying fairly to keep costs down is high on our priority.

"In our experience telco invoices are difficult to interpret, lack granularity and do not always represent the services contracted or required by the organisation" Dave Gibbon, Principal Consultant

There are two main areas that we work with our clients on:

Firstly, we concentrate on problems related to telco's complex billing engines. Errors show up as these sorts of problems:

  • Inaccurate charges for features and functions that do not apply to the service ordered

  • Changes to contracts that are not reflected in billing

  • Services that were migrated, cancelled or disconnected, but never removed from billing

  • Better available rates, terms, and conditions.

The second part of our work looks at improving the management of your services. We look for more modern service alternatives, uncover complexity in services, the number of providers and billing structure. This helps our clients:

  • Understand the services and costs by department - something that is often very difficult to achieve

  • Consider services that can be consolidated or moved more modern, easier to manage and improved services

  • More easily manage their services, reducing costs and effort over the term of a contract.

Our goal is not to change suppliers, but work improve the services provided to better reflect our client's requirements.

What is the output of our Audit?

A high-level report outlining potential areas for:

  • Savings

  • Rationalisation of lines and services

  • Identified requirement for replacement solutions.

How much will our audit service cost?

The price for our audit service includes:

  • Initial assessment

  • More detailed investigation on lines that may be able to be removed

  • Follow-up high level billing review to ensure services are removed on the next billing cycle

Depending on the size of your business the audit costs between $6,500 and $9,000, however if more investigation is needed because the potential savings are greater, we will talk with you about this.

If you would like our assistance to ensure you aren’t paying for services that are no longer required including services that may soon be replaced, please contact me for a no obligation discussion.
