We are delighted to welcome Greg Jones to the Edge Communications Team. As a CIO, Greg will expand our capability to deliver ICT Strategy for our clients who will also benefit from having access to a CIO for short term contracts or longer fixed term cover and assistance.


 Greg has Senior Technology Management experience, including leading customer focused technology teams to provide 24x7 IT services for national organisations.

His extensive experience has come from delivering successful technology change for innovative organisations including IT consulting companies Datacom and Digital Equipment Corporation.  

As a CIO he has focused on minimising risk and driving digital transformation for Ansett New Zealand and Manaaki Whenua. In each of these roles Greg created positive and measurable business results by translating business needs into Technology strategies and ICT roadmaps, which were used to communicate and drive the investment in Information Systems and process improvements.

Greg’s recent project work:

  • Resource Planning review – Capability and Capacity assessment to identify skills the IT team required to successfully deliver on their Technology Strategy.

  • Data Management – Lead development of an Information Governance and Architecture framework to assist Microsoft Teams adoption and implementation

  • Business Analysis work to assess viability and develop business case for a proposed process improvement solution.

  • Creation of IT Governance Practices to ensure Technology alignment and business involvement in the IT planning and Risk Management processes.

  • Led and Project Managed the redevelopment of online Web site and Ecommerce systems that substantially improved data access and self-service for customers.
